in page filtering for tags #772

Expected behaviour

It would be cool to have in page filtering available to show particular tags. This would allow users to quickly and easily find news and events of interest.

Based on assets that are on page tags should appear automatically and when a tagged is clicked only tagged assets shown. Example site: https://www.squiz.net/blog

Have seen http://isotope.metafizzy.co used for this before and could possibly be a replacement for the "show more" button.

Steps to reproduce

Asialink is good example that uses tagged stories on their homepage: http://asialink.unimelb.edu.au

Tags could look like this (needs 'show all' tag): filter-by-tags-on-page

Brilliant idea! +1 from me :)

Would like to use it on the following site to let users jump to required section: http://museumsandcollections.unimelb.edu.au/#news-and-whats-on

thanks

+1 This would be something many faculties/schools would be interested in for MDHS and Arts.

(example) Arts is looking to utilise this for Students News/Alumni News/Faculty News (example) MDHS is looking to utilise this for Faculty Research Theme Tags (Cancer, Neuroscience, etc)

+1 For Law, Science and FVAS

FBE already does this in the CMS (albeit outside the controlled environment): http://fbe.unimelb.edu.au/

Adding my support for this!!!! But, would also like to see this feature expanded to block listings. Getting a filtering option for block listings would mean that news and events can be sorted from a single source without having to click through to another page.

Currently trying to implement this on the new Research Platform Services site, but struggling to do so without resorting to two separate feeds, like at http://law.unimelb.edu.au/#news-events. A filtered block listing would be more functional and super aesthetically pleasing.
