Sharing a short link seems to throw an error in production #21

Just attempted to share the link http://goo.gl/JXZAbK and got the custom error page (most likely due to the goo.gl expansion code)...so we should debug/test that more for production.

How did you end up passing the short link to USV.com? Just pasted it into the new post form directly?

Yes - just pasting the goo.gl link just like you would any other link.
