Where does this pathway come from? #155

JO made once a comment once about the EP. He saw blood clotting as the first pathway associated with an enzyme affected by sildenafil, which might lead to strange and wrong conclusions.

We know that pathways in EP come from identifiers provided by UniProt. We must check this is working properly.

As expected, the cross-reference to that pathway (REACT_604, hemostasis) does exist in the UniProt entry, under "Enzyme and pathway databases". It is the only Reactome xref. Sildenafil also appears as a DrugBank cross-reference, under "Other".

The unfortunate fact seems to be the image - taken straight from Reactome -, which shows a clot forming.

Interestingly, enzymeportal shows another pathway (REACT_23862, Nitric oxide stimulates guanylate cyclase). Our code searches BioMart for the UniProt accession, and in fact retrieves four pathways, but for some undocumented reason it was decided to limit them to just two (BiomartAdapter.limitResults).
