Wellcome Leap has been funded by the Wellcome Trust, see https://wellcome.org/wellcome-leap, so this was the rationale since WT is much more famous and immediately recognized (a bit like NSF vs. NSF TIP, https://new.nsf.gov/tip/latest, even if the branding for Wellcome Leap is stronger and entity separation possibly further). I would be more inclined toward a change that also mentions the Welcome Leap but keeps reference to the WT, e.g., https://thequantuminsider.com/2023/09/27/pasqal-and-qubit-pharmaceuticals-join-with-unitary-fund-to-win-wellcome-trusts-quantum-for-bio-program/

@nathanshammah Elica specifically requested this language change on our Quarterly review call with her. I don't know the internal politics of Leap v. Trust but the delineation was important to her when it comes to external communications.
