If you identify an appropriate Sounder SIPS dataset to use for this, that would be ideal. However, use of a Sounder SIPS product is not a requirement.

• You could look at August and September 2016 CLIMCAPS L3 data, for both AIRS and SNPP.
• It could be interesting to compare data for 2 platforms
• Sep 1, 2016 is the day of switch between AIRS and SNPP.
• For AIRS: We have L3 AIRS data for 2 retrieval types: Infrared-only retrieval and Infrared and MW retrieval, and each of this type has 2 different quality control strategies - ‘specific’ and ‘comprehensive’. I think you can choose any type, for example, Ir+Mw , ‘comprehensive’ quality control
• For SNPP: We have ‘Full resolution’ and ‘Nominal Resolution’ retrievals, also with ‘specific’ and ‘comprehensive’ quality control. You could choose ‘Full resolution’ and ‘comprehensive’
