Problems with web site #4

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
Just a comment about how the web site is set up, when I click the revision link
for f329d597bd62 in Issue 1 the web browser returns an error message:

"Error 404. The requested URL /p/vtuner/source/detail?r=f329d597bd62 was not
found on this server. That’s all we know."

Note the underlying url for the link is probably correct, the problem is how
the web server uses this link.

There may to be something wrong with switch over from the old DreamTuner web
site to the new one: can it be fixed?
.

Ah, sorry, I read bad first time.

It must be google's bug, because that comment was made authomatically,
when I have commited fix.

I see that simple adding repository name to the url does the job:
http://code.google.com/p/vtuner/source/detail?r=f329d597bd62&repo=linux-driver

I will report that to the Google. They have to append repo name if commit is
done in repository other then "default".

Honza, no problem. It looked to me like a Google bug but unless someone reports
it, it would not get fixed. I also accept your comment about my 'miss-posting'
in Issue 1; my mistake. Let's hope Google can fix the problem.

May I ask you to double check and if still existent send a screenshoot and the
URL of the page where you found the broken link. I'm happy to report this bug,
but can't reproduce.

Just got immediate answer = duplicated. FYI, original bug report is there:
http://code.google.com/p/support/issues/detail?id=3245

But it seems to be very very old bug report :(

Because the bug is provider specific and we have zero power to boost them to
fix it, I'm closing it as "Won't Fix". We can only hope that Google guys fix it
somedays.
