Unable to wake up console when starting Remote Play #702

Open PhilippeCadieux opened 1 year ago

PhilippeCadieux commented 1 year ago

I am using the app on the Steam Deck.

If I launch the app and login, it will show my Xbox Series X on my network and "In Standby".

I always get the following error message when trying to connect to it:

Error in Promise: {"state":"Failed","detailedSessionState": 0, "errorDetails":{"code":"XccsUnknownError","message":"Agent: -2136866041:: State Waiting ForServerToRegister"}}

However, if I first power on the console using a synced controller, it will now show as "Powered On" in the app and I can connect to it in Remote Play perfectly fine.

I have double checked and my Xbox is set to the proper power setting that should let me wake it up remotely.

Thanks

I am having the exact same issue with the same error code.

Same issue here with my Xbox One S on my Steam Deck. Shows the Xbox in standby. Works fine when powered on though.

Same issue here (using xbox series x).

same issue for me too when using my M1 Mac. however if I close the app and re-open it it works

OSS-GR commented 1 year ago

For me it would not work whether powered on or in standby. I ended up using 2.0 Beta 1 and that worked. It turned on my xbox from standby.

Steam Deck and Series X - exactly the same.

I also have the same issue with a Xbox Series X... I found if you force quit the client on the steam deck and then open it again it will connect. Seems when you open the client the first time Xbox switches on but it either times out or there's an error because it's still booting up when trying to connect.

Same issue here running the mac client connecting to a local network Series X. Quitting and restarting the client does not help, but waking the xbox using the remote play client on my phone, then allows me to connect with Greenlight.

Try the v2.0.0-beta3 update. It now allows you to back out of a failed connection and try again without quitting the app. It's common for it to fail first connection but work on the second.

Displays error instead of turning on in 2.0beta3 on Series X.

same issue with beta4

Bug still present in beta 7 and beta 8, tested appimage version on arch.

The spinner loads for some minutes then an error pops, when we click ok it continue spinning until we click on disconnect.

Is the wake from standby bug that irrelevant of a feature to be ignored and stay unfixed for months ? just asking as 6 beta versions were released since the bug was reported without it being fixed.
