Greenlight - gaming mode issue #748

Hi there! Hope you're doing great!

I'm running the latest beta3 and while in desktop connecting to my xbox and gaming is fine, its quite pixelated but the latency is ok - its playable but not perfect. However, in gaming mode the remote play session ends up even worse quality wise and the latency makes everything unplayable so I'm wondering if I'm missing something here or if this is normal? and I'm also wondering if I can somewhere increase the quality of the image?

Running steam remote play or Sunshine / Moonlight works amazingly well so I know my network is capable.

Have a great day! Best regards

Problem seem to be isolated to game mode only, im not sure what to try.

I cannot reproduce the issue on my side. Do you have any fps limiters or such turned on? If so, maybe try to turn those off

This was it, such a silly thing.. The fps limited was the cause. Thanks!

How did you disabled fps limiter for greenlight?

Today I decided to fire up cloud gaming. I immediately noticed desktop mode seemed to have way better latency. I stumbled across this and yeah I had fps limiter set to 60FPS, surely though with the stream being 30? It wouldnt affect it, however turning it off seemed to improve latency dramatically. Not sure though but I do still think there is a very slight improvement using desktop mode vs gaming mode still? Not sure how to troubleshoot this or weather it's even related to this bug, however thought I would add to this.
