Any idea on automatic brightness adjust via the light sensor? #7

I managed to compile this fork of this project on an Ubuntu 16.04, but it is not working as is. However, while trying to run the compiled executable at some point, the ambient light sensor of my screen got activated. I don't know how, since there is no code to activate it in there, as far as I know. Anyway, the result was quite erratic. There was not much light in the room, and the screen brightness kept changing between two different levels, as if the sensor would be right on the edge between two brightness levels. I shined a light on the sensor just to see what would happen, and the brightness of the screen went to maximum level as one would expect. Then I put my finer on the sensor to prevent it from detecting any light, and it dimmed the screen, but it dimmed it so much that it was entirely black, which I don't think is what we want. If I am in a completely dark room, I still want to be able to read something on my screen. The feature seems to still be beta, and this might be why Apple never added a checkbox to the display settings to activate the use of the ambient light sensor.

Nice try! May be this monitor does not have enough amount to let LG or Apple to make the official support. Anyway, a light sensor hardware there without software support is some kind of a waste to me.
