WiFi note #15

My iPhone was originally named “Donna’s iPhone 13 Pro Max”.

I set it up on my Rev6, and couldn’t connect to it as a hotspot.

I wasn’t sure if the Rev6 didn’t like the apostrophe in the name or the length of the name, so I fixed both. I know that quotes, apostrophes, and slashes in a text string can sometimes cause unintended results, depending on the situation. And, of course, a too-long name summons the gremlins to come out and play, as well.

Both my Rev5 and Rev6 are perfectly happy to connect to it with its new moniker, “DMM iPhone”. 🙂
