i, uh, ported the site to next.js as a joke, and also added support for mdx. (also idk how to use github)

idk how to talk about it but hey i did a thing and it kinda works and i think it'd be cool to move this to the sub branch (or the dom branch if u want) and then get it deployed on the actual website or something that'd be neat.

upsides to doing this:

• all of these changes were made as a joke that i immediately took seriously, which is both very blaseball, and very tacos
• this makes it a lot easier to improve the website in the future, mostly because i better understand the codebase and i've been the only one making changes since about 4 or 5 months ago
• mdx is cool and would be good for contributing new content that features code snippets, since mdx files can support components, which makes it easier, more convenient, and safer to add fancy bits of code and weird styling to stuff
• next.js supports .md and .mdx pages in the pages folder out of the box, so we don't need the handler to make our pages work
• next.js also comes with styled jsx out of the box, meaning that we can better separate styling from the core styles.css file, which fixes an issue you brought up on the discord. it also keeps css closer to the stuff it's styling, making it easier to fix any issues with css, except for the times it might not be /shrug

downsides to doing this:

• i am a huge dumbass and i have no idea what i'm doing, and this could make the entire website worse and i just don't know it yet
• i literally did this as a joke
• it's a huge rewrite to the entire codebase, which is worse for everyone else contributing unless it's actually better
• idk if there's any downsides to switching to next.js instead of creat-react-app, and if there are any downsides to next.js over our current stack, then the website will inherit it
• i have literally no idea what i'm doing
• maybe next.js is scary
• it's possible that we're bogging the site down with too much shit and making the stack to large. who knows? certainly not me
