Is there a Force old ssl-style option?

What steps will reproduce the problem?
I try to connect to an XMPP server using the old-style SSL but cannot login.
The log only shows:

Socket opened to the jabber host xxxxxxxxx.xxxxx.xxx:5223 ...

[1:16549:0] 2012-01-11 12:53:26 - [[XMPPSend]] Not ready for write, obuffer 
size:178

Our server port is 5233, I use Pidgin and Adium to connect and my settings in 
Adium are:
port: 5223
Allow plaintext authentication: unchecked
Force old-style SSL: checked
Require SSL/TLS: unchecked
Do strict certification checks: checked

Any idea if I can login with these settings using Jaxl?
