JAXL with Google Apps #52

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Create JAXL Daemon
2. Set domain to google apps domain name and host to talk.google.com
3. Start daemon

I am expecting the daemon to run without error (error is cannot complete SASL
Auth) and handle all incoming chats (at the moment it just var_dumps them). I
can successfully connect using my personal gmail (domain=>gmail.com,
host=>talk.google.com), but can't connect using my google apps domain
(domain=>googleappsdomain.com, host=>talk.google.com).

I can set both the host and domain to the google apps domain name but then I
get another error (cannot open socket to the server).

I am using version 2.1.1 on Debian 6.0 with Apache and PHP 5.3.3.

I worked it out. For anyone that is interested you have to enable 2 step
verification in your Google Account settings for the user you want to use JAXL
with and then generate an application password for JAXL.
