The second comment is what's fixed in 2.1.3 and not related. Note the process
name is different.

f.smulders:
would it be possible for you to scroll back in the log to when it first fails
to run and see if it prints out anything useful?
was this built from source or downloaded from the app store?

My app is from the App Store if I remember correctly.
Still don't see the update there btw.

We don't have a fix for this. I was moving it to the milestone for the next
version which is currently being worked on. There is no ETA.

Is there a reason that completely uninstalling Growl still does not fix this?

I am also experiencing the issue raised by the original poster. Uninstalling
Growl as thoroughly as I can did not resolve it.

Not that this comes anywhere near constituting a "fix," but I'm now running
Yosemite, and I no longer have these rogue entries. (It's also possible that it
could be coincidental.)
