Wiper wings appear to sometimes get desynchronized, with the left (from an inside perspective) wing / blade erroneously starting its descent too soon (i.e., without "waiting (a split second) for" its counterpart to reach its peak, as it normally should), causing it to overlap with the right wing / blade at some point on the way down. This only seems to occur once every arbitrary number of periods. Furthermore it only seems to affect AI-controlled vehicles, particularly when unfocused, under low FPS.
Identified causes and resolution progress
Our current vague understanding / hypothesis is that this is somehow linked to low / unstable FPS (therefore high / unstable Timegap) causing a loss of precision of the calculated angle of each wing, in turn causing the condition ("critical angle") safeguarding from early left wing descent to be satisfied prematurely. A closer examination is pending.
