Safari Extension Causes "Allow" Popup with Limited Time to Click #101

Closed ibrokemypie closed 7 years ago

Since a couple weeks ago safari has begun popping up a message to "allow" maxel to be opened, and the message is only there for less than a second before it closes, cancelling the download. This has made maxel more or less unusable on safari, though I believe this is some update to safari that has caused this.

Thanks for reminding me. I had submitted an update over a week ago but it seems apple hasn't published it. The safari extension review process is an upsetting experience

Apologies for the delay, I’m told that you can install the fix direct from source here: https://maxelapp.com/SendToMaxel.safariextz if you remove the old version first.

I'm re-submitting in case the old one got dropped, as it was before the holidays.

Any way you can get it to skip the allow popup alltogether?

It doesn't seem so, I assume if there ever is a way it would appear as an answer here: http://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/265267/how-to-skip-safaris-do-you-want-to-allow-this-page-to-open-x-dialog

Which is very unfortunate.

By the way since the new extension was posted I'm going to close this.
