I've made a few edits to typos I noticed while working through lectures 8 and 9. I edited the Rmd and md files, but wasn't sure how to edit the html, since it was too big for github to display in the same way it did the others (showing off how much of a newbie I am to this). Hope these are helpful.
Also noticed, but didn't want to directly edit, that the equal earth projection requires the rgeos package - while you mention it, I don't think you explicitly specify that readers should install or load it alongside the others at the beginning of the lecture.
