[2] Too many copies in search return? #25

See, for instance, http://blacklight.hull.ac.uk/catalog?utf8=%E2%9C%93&search_field=title&q=Attention%2C+perception%2C+%26+psychophysics&commit=Search

Item 3 - Perception and psychphysics

Is there a case for truncating such a list and saying "...and more" on the search return? Clearly the full record page should list all copies of an item.

Worse:

After much discussion: please for periodicals only will you suppress all but the first return. For books etc leave the long lists.

As I understand this the system cannot distinguish between periodical and other items in its current guise, hence placing a limit for just periodicals would be hard. As such, I propose we limit any list at 20 items, indicating quite clearly that there are others available as well.
