"back" button doesn't work

Here's the sequence of steps I took:

• visit upcoming.org
• click a city name
• click the "following" tab
• click on an event to read more about it
• click the browser's "back" button

I'm taken back to upcoming.org without the filters that I selected.

Clicking any of the filters should at least set the URL fragment, or even better set the path, and should be able to restore the state after navigating back to it. Here is a reference for the relevant browser API to help: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/History_API
