[Bug]: <"Enter" or Mouse Click does nothing> #137

Describe the bug

Obsidian Version: v1.1.9 (latest) Installer Version: v0.15.9 Windows 10.0.19044 Reminder Version: 1.1.15 (latest)

I tried it with a new vault (only reminder as plugin) and my already existing vault with other plugins:

Yesterday all above plugins where installed and Reminder did not work properly, when I entered "(@" the popup came, I choose a date with the mouse, clicked and nothing happened. First I thought, perhaps it is not correct to click it with the mouse, so I pressed "Enter", again nothing happened. I did this 3 more times and then magically it worked.

Today, I reorganized some things in my vault and wanted to add some reminders. Same process as yesterday, I entered "(@" but directly clicked "Enter" and nothing happened. I tried a couple of times to assure it will not work. I tried it also with the mouse click - nothing.

I made a test vault with only Reminder as plugin but got the same results - I did not work. So after lunch I tried it again in my normal vault and in the meantime looked for other Reminder-like plugins and found Task (https://github.com/obsidian-tasks-group/obsidian-tasks) but in the end it was not the simple reminder as Reminder (no calendar popup). I was very surprised that when I tried it again - it somehow worked. Back to the default vault - it is not working. I uninstalled Task (I only mention this as I do not have the understanding how the different plugins work together or do not override something) and Reminder still worked. I restarted Win and Reminder work again in my vault (with the list installed above) but is not working in the default vault.

I googled, came to Github, looked all bugs and found nobody had the same issue as I, so here is my bug report

Expected Behavior

The plugin should work normal as I did not change anything in the default Vault.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Make new Vault
  2. Install Reminder plugin
  3. Use Reminder plugin

Operating system

Windows

I do have the same issue since yesterday. I've tested out if it's also related to other plugins installed, but that's also not the case. So at the moment I'm not able to create reminder at all

Just installed obsidian and Reminder is my first plugin. I also have the same issue. I tried changing the options of the plugin, but there's no way to make it work....

Same issue. I had this working upon installing a day ago. Now I am afraid upon hitting enter, or mouse clicking a date, both of which were working on first test, are yielding no auto-completion entry into the document. Any suggestions are appreciated.

I figured out that you can create a reminder for checkbox items. For other items and normal paragraphs it is still not working.

Wow - this bug seems to be much older than I expected. Just installed the plugin for the first time and I thought I was doing something wrong. Eventually I saw the bug here. As @syerad mentioned, works for checkbox items, but I would rarely use it in this context.

Same-it seems this bug is still untouched, what is a shame. I will abuse the checkbox syntax, but that should not be the right way.
