Ben said he could edit the text then said he was unable to later could it be that when the player has the edit tool active that this is when it is enabled for audience would be good to test this 11 Jan 2024, 04:03 by @.***:
last night we discovered by chance that an audience member was able to edit the live text on the stage. their edits were only visible to them, not to everyone. it could be an interesting feature to allow this, as something that players could choose to allow audience members to do. however if it's not visible to anyone except the individual audience member then it's not really a useful feature, and can be confusing for the audience. can it be prevented, so that audience cannot edit the text, until such time as we work out how it could work as a feature?
here are screengrabs showing the audience member's screen and my screen:

actually i tried this just now, and as an audience member i was able to edit the text AND as player in another browser i could see the changes. it's correct that when i turned off the edit button on the text object, i could no longer edit it as audience.
this does give the option for inviting the audience to write onto the stage, could be interesting
i will close this for now as it's not really a problem, & could be an interesting feature.
