7 months ago great - this looks better! i logged in with a guest account on dev-app, and after logging in i was on the Foyer page; i could enter the Demo stage with the player tools showing, but other stages only as audience, and had no access to the Studio :sunglasses:
a Guest login should not give ANY access to the Studio at all. currently when logged in with an account that has the role Guest, i can enter the studio, and i can see and search in the lists of stages and media. i can also edit and save the guest's profile. Guests should only have access to the stage or stages that the guest account has been assigned to and no access whatsoever to the Studio - any links to the Studio should either not be visible, or redirect back to the Foyer. the Guest accounts are used for guided tour sessions where we introduce newcomers to the on-stage tools so that they can get an idea of whether or not UpStage is something they want to explore further; if they do, then we give them their own account so that any activity in the Studio is connected to their actual account. this is quite important as it can be confusing for newcomers to get lost in the Studio and have things not work in ways that they might expect if they've already looked at the manual.
if i try to create a new stage, it redirects me back to the Foyer, which is better than if i try to upload a media item: in this case, it allows me to select a file, and shows the edit window for that media item. i can do things here like assign it to a stage and set permission levels, i get an error message.
when i close the media edit window i got a message asking if ';m sure i wanted to quit. clicking OK doesn't remove this window, i have to reload the page to get rid of it.
