no error message for failed login #1288

if i log in with a non-existing username or password, nothing happens, i'm just at the login screen. there should be an error message asking me to check my username and password and try logging in again, e.g.:

"Incorrect username or password. Please try again.!

note - this is still an issue; if i enter the wrong username or password, it just stays on the login screen - it doesn't even appear to try and log in then reload the page.

it would be helpful to have a message that says:

"Incorrect username or password. Please check and try again, or use the "forgot password" link."
