unable to add existing frames to create a multiframe media item #1316

i'm currently unable to create a multiframe media item.

i'm trying to make a a multiframe prop. when i uploaded the first frame and then clicked to upload the next frame, the upload window opens behind the edit window for the first frame, and there's no way to add the next one. if i try dragging it onto the upload window, it just opens the image in the browser.

i tried saving the first frame, uploading the second frame as a separate media item, and then using the "add existing frame" button; this returned me to the media list, with the red "back to editing" button where the "new media" button usually is; but there is no way to select the next frame - if i click on its preview icon i just get its preview, & if i click on its "edit" button, nothing happens, and when i go back to editing the first frame there is no second frame there.

i tried in both firefox and chromium, same problem.

now i tried again, and was able to upload a second frame - this time the upload window did appear on top of the editing window, so i was able to drag & drop - phew! however it still seems impossible to add an existing media item as a frame. so i checked in the user manual, & there it tells me this (https://docs.upstage.live/media-management/upload-media/):

To add an existing frame, follow these steps:

  1. Click on “Add an existing frame” in the media item’s edit interface.
  2. Find the frame you want to add in the media list.
  3. At the right-hand side of the list, click on “Append frames”.

but there is no "Append frames" button any more: Screenshot from 2024-08-19 12:48:29

it's on all instances. there is no "Append Frames" button anymore.

@vickis it would be helpful if you also checked these things on your system, as then we could see if it might be a browser issue rather than an UpStage problem. do you see the "Append Frames" button when you try to add an existing frame (already uploaded media item)?
