all lists should be alphabeticised or chronological

can all list (of media, players, stages) be either alphabeticised or chronological? at the moment many lists seem to be quite random. ideally we should be able to change from alphabetical to chronological, but i guess for some lists e.g. dropdown menus this might not be possible.

i suggest:

• [ ] on media list page, in the left-hand menu, the lists of players and stages should be alphabetical
• [ ] the stages list - option to display alphabetically or chronologically with default being chronological, newest first
• [ ] player list on stage management interface (for assigning players to a stage) - alphabetical
• [ ] available media on stage management interface (for assigning media to a stage) - chronological with most recently added media first
• [ ] stages list in stages tab of media edit interface (for assigning media to a stage) - alphabetical
• [ ] player list in admin interface - chronological with newest players first (i think this is already the default) with option to sort alphabetically

some of this has been achieved through the ability to sort and order Stages and Media lists. but the following would still be helpful:

• [ ] alphabeticise dropdown menus showing players, media types, and stages in the filter bar of the Media interface;
• [ ] alphabeticise dropdown menu of player names on Stages list (top bar)
• [ ] alphabeticise list of available stages in Media edit interface, and the dropdown list of media types
• [ ] in the Media section of the Stage Management interface, alphabeticise the dropdown lists of media types and player names, and also the two columns of media (available and assigned)
• [ ] in the General Information section of the Stage Management interface, alphabeticise the lists of players (i know that we can start typing the name to find a player, but sometimes you don't know the actual player name and need to look for it; having the list alphabeticised makes it much easier to scan)
• [ ] in the pop-up window for chosing a cover image for the stage (in Stage Management), alphabeticise the dropdown menus for media types, players and stages (and please change "Users" to "Players")

boosting this as it should not be difficult, i think, to order all lists?? now that we have more users, more stages, more media ... it would be quite helpful to have lists alphabeticised! :slightly_smiling_face:
