V1.3 of the Raspberry Pi Zero has been released. I see it as being a good option for our sensor now that it support the camera, uses less power and and space, and is cheaper.

Currently out of stock. We should buy 4 (?) when they're back out?

We also need to thing about how to better secure the wiring in the sensor. The breadboard might do the job for now, but we'll need to have it hardwired before it can be deployed beyond experimentally.

Can we allocate one pi0 to improving the radar orientation sensor? (If so, I'll move this to the UQ-XPOL issue page) I'll also need one of these :gift: https://www.adafruit.com/products/1231

I'll setup the pi to display the orientation info on a simple web page which can be accessed from any device on the wifi network. I may also use this pi webserver to serve realtime UQ-XPOL images from pyART to any device. So many uses for one pi.

Certainly. At only 1 Ghz though, maybe a Pi 3 would be better than the pi 0 for this for processing radar imagery?

It would be just awesome to have that coming up in real time!!!

Raspberry Pi Zero could be interesting for future iterations, but design will revolve around the Pi 3 for now.
