Wikidata #94

This is something I need more clarity on what exactly the Wikidata team / QPL team is expecting. We have a meeting Wed 1/25/22 with Wikidata dev team.

Context: Wikidata approached QPL wanting to collaborate on getting QPL data on Wikidata. QPL wants to link their Name Explorer records to Wikidata in order to both:

  1. Pull metadata that QPL doesn't have on these named places onto the map (method unsure)
  2. Give Wikidata information they didn't have before. This is attractive to QPL through the lens of getting this content to as many people as possible and further archiving these Queens individuals. I'm unclear if this is a process Wikidata is hoping to automate or not.

Solutions:(?) Both Wikidata people and QPL has assured us that this process will require no dev work on our end. They will be in charge of managing the implementation of the data and any airtable scripts needed.

They have already created 4 new entry fields in airtable: Image

Issues:

  1. Hard for me to believe this won't require ~any~ development work on our end. I don't think WikiData's typical process for this is going to be as simple as they may think.
  2. How will QPL give information back? Are they expecting that process to be automated too? There was a discussion about some sort of volunteer
