To prevent a dig: over in eyre, request messages from the last 6 hours on load, as opposed to the last 24 hours.
If this results in no messages being retrieved, it tries to get messages from the last 12 hours, then 18, etc.
Also contains a fix for scrollback loading which wasn't working reliably.
