Add Badges to README.md

The current README.md file does not include any badges. Adding badges can enhance the readability and provide quick insights into the project's status and key metrics.

It should be implemented because

1. Enhanced Readability: Badges provide a visual summary of the project’s status and important information at a glance.
2. Quick Insights: Users and contributors can quickly see the build status, test coverage, latest version, and other essential metrics without delving into the details.
3. Professional Appearance: Including badges makes the project appear more professional and well-maintained.
4. Encourages Contribution: Potential contributors can immediately see the health and activity of the project, making them more likely to contribute.

Additional context

Consider including badges for the following:

• Build status (e.g., from Travis CI, GitHub Actions, CircleCI)
• Test coverage (e.g., from Coveralls, Codecov)
• Latest release/version (e.g., from npm, PyPI)
• License (e.g., MIT, GPL)
• Issues (e.g., open issues count from GitHub)
