What's all those DELETEME.txt?

Merely enable to directory structure. I am not aware of any cleaner/standard solution other than adding (1) README.md, (2) .gitkeep, or (3) something of the like to each empty folder? Maybe I'm missing something obvious?

Did you intentionally kept some DELETEME files?
