Description

Ongoing equity consultation with Clare Martorana and OFCIO team, helping them to identify high-value opportunities for Equity tools and then create a plan to deliver on it

Acceptance Criteria

• OFCIO team can define what delivering equity means in the context of their applicable workstreams
• OFCIO team has selected relevant Equity Toolkit exercises and has used them in practice
• OFCIO team can articulate value-add of Equity Toolkit exercises in their work

Tasks

Beforehand

• [x] Meet with OFCIO team to establish interest in Equity Toolkit artifacts and consultations
• [ ] Meet with OFCIO team to scope out and reach consensus on Equity team's contributions to OFCIO's workstreams

During

• [ ] Define what equity delivery means in the context of OFCIO workstreams
• [ ] Identify what Equity exercises OFCIO team wants to use
• [ ] Create plan to deliver equity given the definition of equity delivery above, including the selected exercises
• [ ] Complete selected Equity exercises with OFCIO team, including identifying takeaways/next steps
• [ ] Mobilize OFCIO team to execute takeaways/next steps

After

• [ ] Record lessons learned, tools used, value added, and ways of working during workstream

Notes from 12/7 meeting with Clare:

• She sees value in both RBS and PS for OFCIO
• She’s specifically interested in applying PS to OFCIO’s public comment process
• She was very interested when we mentioned Elizabeth Schweinsberg’s use of RBS in an anti-phishing context—OFCIO perks up at anything cyber
• She is thinking of one person in her office for each of the two tools, who can champion them. She’s confirming those two people in the next few days.
• We floated the idea of ~3 30-min follow up conversations with her: the first mtg with her + the 2 champions to brief them more in depth on the two tools and secure their buy-in, the subsequent mtgs coaching them through how to apply each tool in practice (kind of like what we’re doing with DOJ rn); she seemed very bought-in
• Jeremy is going to schedule a follow up with her for 2 weeks out
