Support multiple different social media platforms #11

One major thing I would like to add to this is the need for support that covers multiple social media platforms. Since Galaxy is leaving Twitter/X, it is essential that we cover a wider audience because, right now, there is no single platform where we have found the majority of our users. Who knows what the future holds for social media, but this is where we stand today in the world of social media.

Currently, we have one or more Galaxy accounts on each of these platforms:

Mastodon: Galaxy: @galaxyproject@mstdn.science GTN: @gtn@mstdn.science

Bsky: Galaxy: @galaxyproject.bsky.social GTN: @galaxytraining.bsky.social

LinkedIn: Galaxy GROUP (hopefully soon to be product page): Galaxy Project

I apologize if I am missing EU, AU, or other social platforms on these sites. Please update accordingly should anyone know of others; these are just the socials I, personally, have access to and have been contributing to.

Additional things to note: Images and videos should be supported Having the ability to schedule posts would be a fantastic addition A Content Calendar where we can easily see upcoming/needed posts would be cool The ability to interact with our users on social platforms is important (respond to comments, answer direct messages, etc.) Having a way to track interaction on social platforms would give as valuable feedback (how many times links are clicked, how many people visit our pages, follower count, etc.)

Galaxy Australia is soon to have a LinkedIn product page as well, which will be hosted by the Australian BioCommons company page

So we are getting there and have a prototype. That works with BlueSky, Mastodon, matrix, slack. We can not test LinkedIn as it needs some special organisational account?

@PatCapon39 or @natwhitaker do you have such accounts that support API access on LikendIn?

So now we have working support (including for images) for BlueSky, Mastodon, matrix, Slack and LinkedIn as platforms, and support mutlitple channels/accounts for each of them.
