Design and Illustrate visually appealing poster for the Galaxy Project

Project Context

One of the current main concerns for the Galaxy Project is a lack in visibility. This is an issue which needs to be approached in multiple ways, and could be helped by the creation of decorative posters.

This type of poster is different from the what is usually understood by "poster" in the context of the project; It's main objective is not to communicate information, but to raise awareness for the projects existence.

The poster should roughly be A2 sized. Small enough to be attached to pinboards / walls / cupboards, but large enough to catch attention.

The posters main focus should be on an art piece that is thematically connected to the Galaxy Project.

These posters could then be handed out at conferences / to course participants, or posted at some campus locations. The thought behind this is that if the poster is aesthetic enough for people to want to use it for decoration, it will also raise awareness for the Project.

An example for such an approach can be found in this poster for a social initiative.

  1. Come up with a design which is thematically connected to the Galaxy Project, or one of it's core principles
  2. Prototype Ideas
  3. Draw final art piece for the poster and integrate it into the posters design
