Given a user that only has access to a single project-xx-yy group and this is hidden by default, it isn't obvious that the user is in any groups
But if you tick the show system groups box it will display it.
It would be cool if the user has only system groups available, that either the box is ticked, or the label GROUPS (0) is changed to GROUPS (0) (1 hidden) or the text No groups is changed to 1 hidden system group ?
