Doesn't exist on Chrome.

I need more information. OS/environment. Does it happen on Youtube official page? Does it happen when quality is 360p or 720p?

DUOLabs333 commented 3 years ago

Arch Linux ARM, KDE. Doesn't happen on any other Youtube frontend. Happens at all qualities (it's not stuttering, just low framerate).

97 -- Turning off "theater mode" helps with this a bit.

DUOLabs333 commented 3 years ago

checking it, it seems to be around 12 fps.

It could be that somehow, Firefox is not using GPU for video decoding.

DUOLabs333 commented 2 years ago

Ok, so I found that if you make it fullscreen, the problem goes away. So, maybe a bug with aspect ratio calculations?

DUOLabs333 commented 2 years ago

When switching to theater_mode, where everything has a higher resolution, the framerate drops even further.

So, I figured it out -- it was my "Dark Reader" extension.
