why are you think so
because it lets you bypass the index's checks. I'm not saying I think you would, but it would allow you to add malicious code without any way for the index staff to manage it.
Best you could do is making a popup that lets users know a new version is on the index - I believe BetterInfo and BetterEdit have this

autoupdaters are kinda against index rules you know
