Facebook Protocol plugin for miranda nolonger working

Miranda 8.11 

What version of the product are you using? 8.10 & 8.11 On what operating
system?
widows xp

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. installing the facebook protocol

I copy the dll and other files in and start miranda miranda crashes 
I remove the dll & other files and miranda works 

What is the expected output? miranda to work 

What do you see instead? miranda crashes with a error message about visual C++

Please provide any additional information below.
hmmm well it was working b4 today so it happened in the last few days 
I suspect that some dll some where on the system got updated by windows
update I rebuilt the entire system using an old copy of Miranda as the
basis and it was fine until I put the facebook stuff in then miranda
crashed so I removed facebook and miranda was fine again.
