Character encoding issue with meta contacts #34

What product are you using? 
Fb 0.1.0.0 with MetaContacts 0.14.0.10

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. send a message with special characters like "Mám rád guláš" through a 
meta contact.

What is the expected output?
"Mám rád guláš" on my buddy's screen

What do you see instead?
"Mm rd gul" on my buddy's screen.

Please provide any additional information below.
This happens only with sending messages, receiving works properly.

Does this happen also without a use of MetaContacts? That means with someone 
not 
bundled with metacontact OR absolutely without a MetaContacts loaded?

I've already done many experiments with character sets, encoding/decoding... I 
have 
a suspicion this is more a MC plugin bug

yea, it does only happen with Metacontacts, when sending special characters. 
But only
over Facebook.
Metacontact is ansi or? maybe there is the source of the problem and other 
protocols
handel something different.

It happens only with Metacontacts, but only with your protocol plugin. I've 
used icq, 
jabber, msn and Skype through Metacontacts and never had the same problem.
