Probably wrong password entered. #54

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What product are you using?
Facebook Protocol 0.1.0.2

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Miranda IM v.0.8.23 on Win XP Pro SP3

The problem?
Nothing changed until the last time I used Miranda (yesterday). But this
morning when I try to connect the Miranda Facebook protocol I recieve the
following error: "Probably wrong password entered." I double checked the
password and I'm sure it's correct.
Online login with that password to Facebook site works correctly.
Please help.

thanks for your effort - to start it says that I needs additional DLL files:
mscvcp100.dll
msvcrt100.dll

I thought that installing the .net Framework 4 would include these, but its
still
requesting these files..

Oh, yes, I compiled it using Visual Studio 2010. You can get the DLL files here:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=a7b7a05e-6de6-4d3a-a423
-37bf0912db84&displaylang=en
...or just wait for me to upload a DLL compiled with an older version of Visual
Studio.

But the VC9 version works fine and has resolved the problem :-)

Please note that the Microsoft packages pointed to in the above comments are
just
versions of the Microsoft VC++ runtime libraries, not a development
environment, it's
just 10MB or something.
If this plugin works at all for you, you have already installed an older
version of
that. Lots of applications include this package into their installers, so you
usually
don't ever see this. The problem is just that I'm using a very new version of
it,
that doesn't seem to have been spread widely yet.

Releasing an official fixed version would of course be nice, but from what I
heard on
the Miranda forums, the developer of this plugin won't be able to do this right
now.
