We did some brainstorming of ideas for the road salt visualization. Let's make contact with a few of the experts on the topic.

I am holding off on making contact, until we get just a bit farther in the planning process, so that we have a fairly concise project goal to present to the experts.

Here is a rough draft of the goal - We are interested in creating a data visualization that will highlight the value of USGS water monitoring locations with conductivity sensors. We intend this visualization to focus on the Delaware River Basin and road salt use. In particular, we would like to explore the possibility of highlighting a geographic area that has engaged in enlightened road salt application practices and potentially show the resulting reduction in water conductivity relative to similar winter storm events in a historical context.

This project is shelved. And this Issues was mostly completed, prior to Shelved state, so I think it is safe to close.
