didn't end up filtering the water layer but instead creating our own great lakes tileset and replacing the various water layers we were using with this new layer.
PR for wbeep-viz changes: https://github.com/usgs-makerspace/wbeep-viz/pull/579 PR for wbeep-processing pipeline addition: https://github.com/usgs-makerspace/wbeep-processing/pull/178 Jenkins job to create great lakes tiles and push to s3 https://jenkins.wma.chs.usgs.gov/job/MakerSpace/job/create_greatlakes_tiles/
I think it looks much cleaner without the light-colored lakes. There is no question about where we are predicting water temperatures.
someone pointed out the 'aqua color' was making it hard to determine the exact color or were confused by them. revisit filtering for that layer and try to remove all non-great lakes inland water
