The current gmprocess/data/testdata/ directory is 322 MB in size, but is only needed for tests that are not included.

The testdata directory should be moved to tests/data. This would identify that the data is associated with the tests and reduce the size of the installation and any wheels that are generated.
Additional context
It might be worth confirming all of the data files are being used in the current version of the code.
