Drops not populating from high-volume RSS feed #336

SwiftRiver isn't creating drops from RSS feeds (or from Twitter, but I understand that functionality has separate issues) on my local install.

Running latest code from the master branch on OSX 10.8.2; Apache 2.2.23 (Unix); PHP 5.3.21; MySQL 5.1.66.

Clicking on manual refresh reloads the page but it still reads "Nothing to display yet." I presume cron will fail as well but haven't tried to verify.

Also having the same problem #296 as a few others: When I try to change the default login/password, I hit an error page.

I have the same issues, both #296 and this one... Any updates on this?
