Facebook authentication not enabling (2.7.1b) #1215

I've installed the development version of Ushahidi from Github (2.7.1b) and Facebook authentication doesn't seem to work.

I've created a Facebook application for the Ushahidi installation and entered the App ID and Secret but nothing appears on the login page to indicate a Facebook authentication option.

The page indicates that the values have been saved successfully however there is no indication of any additional features either on the login page or on the Ushahidi settings page for Facebook.

Is this a bug or are there other steps that I've missed?

Hey @fegul . At the moment, the only facebook support we have is through the facebook social plugin that allows users to comment on reports using their facebook profiles. We are actually meant to axe the Facebook application portion out of the platform as its a feature that has become outdated and largely unsupported. If you would be interested in possibly working on working on getting the authentication component of it working and send in a pull request, we'll be happy to merge in and review.
