My 17" macbook with Snow Leopard sometimes goes to sleep when removing the
power adapter after a restart, even though NoSleep is active. I'm not sure if
this is an issue or if I'm doing something wrong.
I assume the way that NoSleep works is that you can click preferences and then
choose which type of power (battery or ac adapter) that you wish to use when
closing the lid on your macbook, and then you click the ZZ icon in the menu bar
once so it turns blue to "activate" it - but I didn't see this documentation
anywhere on the website and so when I'm experiencing the aforementioned issue I
can't easily tell if I'm doing something wrong or not.
A note to others: If you are experiencing this issue it seems that opening the
NoSleep preferences and then unchecking and re-checking the option(s) you want,
followed by clicking (to disable) and then re-enabling (blue icon) NoSleep
seems to fix this problem sometimes. Other times I need to restart the computer
again.
