We would recommend a bulk validation of links provided with the "Commercial standards monthly" database.

We have discovered the full list of erroneous CSM documents (see https://github.com/metanorma/nist-pubid/issues/146):

 NBS CS v6n1
 NBS CS v6n10
 NBS CS v6n11
 NBS CS v6n12
 NBS CS v6n2
 NBS CS v6n3
 NBS CS v6n4
 NBS CS v6n5
 NBS CS v6n6
 NBS CS v6n7
 NBS CS v6n8
 NBS CS v6n9
 NBS CS v7n1

 NBS CS v7n7
 NBS CS v7n8
 NBS CS v7n9
 NBS CS v8n1
 NBS CS v8n10
 NBS CS v8n11
 NBS CS v8n12
 NBS CS v8n2
 NBS CS v8n3
 NBS CS v8n4

 NBS CS v9n8
 NBS CS v9n9

We would suggest two remedial actions:

  1. Rename the NBS CS identifier for these documents to NBS CSM. This is because the "CS" series stands for "Commercial Standard", e.g. NBS CS 113-51 (link. The "Commercial standards monthly" publications are not Commercial Standards themselves.
    • This viewpoint is supported by the URLs currently assigned to them, e.g. https://nvlpubs.nist.gov/nistpubs/Legacy/CSM/nbscsmv6n1.pdf
  2. Fix up the URLs provided in the database to the correct paths.
    • The pattern https://nvlpubs.nist.gov/nistpubs/Legacy/CS/nbscommercialstandardv{X}n{Y}.pdf should be rewritten as: https://nvlpubs.nist.gov/nistpubs/Legacy/CSM/nbscsmv{X}n{Y}.pdf

The final PubID scheme (#153 ) confirms that "Commercial Standards Monthly" is now officially called CSM, and "Commercial Standard" is CS:
