In the old TTT's XDM validator, there wasn't a check that the filename of the attachment fit into the eight-characters and a period and a three character extension (it allowed for filenames longer than that). I tried using the Message Validator on the new toolkit, but couldn't get it to work so I don't know if this check exists in the new stuff.
