Just to add to this in case it’s helpful, the erroneous glyph ("Latin small letter a with ring above", unicode 00E5, GID 217) seems to be exactly the same as "Latin small letter a with ring above and acute", unicode 01FB, GID 218.
It is present in every weight of the italic.
The correct shape above the "a" is a plain circle. Just like it appears in the normal version of the typeface (not italic).
Please make it look like any other sans-serif (or serif) "å". Just a plain ring above is the normal shape.
