Create long list of all USWDS tasks

Research Goals Goal: Identify a short list (up to 10) of the most important tasks for users of different roles on the USWDS site as a whole that are grounded in evidence.

Research questions

• What are the main things users need to do on the USWDS site?
• What information are users typically looking for most often on the site?
• How do top tasks differ between designers and developers, if at all?
• How might we make it easier for them to carry out those key tasks?

Methodology Create a long list (300-500) of tasks by consulting various data sources:

• Behavior on the site - Google analytics, Site search queries (date range: 12 months)
• Customer feedback channels - #uswds-public Slack, Zendesk
• Stakeholder interviews (Team members, Product Owner, Product Manager)
• Review past UX research
• Review other design systems - Gov.UK, Material Design, Carbon

Work with stakeholders to shorten the list. Get feedback from users on the short list (no more than 70 tasks). Ask users to vote on the most important tasks via survey. Ask users to identify their role in the survey so we can compare top tasks among different roles. Analyze and share results and recommendations.
