The touch target seems bigger, like tapping a button (low vision zoom user).
They look more organized especially when there are a lot of options (2 participants), less cluttered, and less formal than default radio (ADHD participant).
It may be beneficial to investigate use cases for tiled vs default radio buttons to see if it would be worthwhile to include new recommendations in our guidance for their usage.
